Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Rating: PG-13
Stars (out of 4): ***
Length: 2 hours, 4 minutes
Synopsis: George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Harrison Ford resurrect one of America’s greatest heroes and update his story seamlessly into the late 1950s with mostly positive results. A slam-bang beginning, great action, and humor—with sly references to the older Indy films—degenerates into an unengaging mystery surrounding the fictional crystal skull and a baffling CGI ending.

If you've come to appreciate Nic Cage movies despite the fact that they're usually terrible, well, here's your latest fix. Cage plays a cold assassin who coldly assassinates. That is, until he meets someone who gets him to reconsider his cold assassin ways. And just when everything was about to be dreamy, Cage must use his nearly former cold assassin skills to save the day. In a week with not a single decent new movie out, you might as well see the worst. Showtimes, review and more. Watch trailer.

Yeah. Lucas basically took every character trait that made Indy such a badass and dismantled them one by one. It was, and this is the cardinal sin of an Indiana Jones movie, boring.

not to mention Karen Allen went from slightly obnoxious kick-ass feisty chick to boring dolt. what a waste of a character. everything except Harrison Ford was very disappointing.

Ugh. I just got back; although I almost walked out.
What a waste.
